The Publicity Committee plays an important role as the "voice" of the organization. Whether it’s publishing the newsletter, promoting special events, or maintaining internet communications, the committee makes certain that the word gets out!
Developing and maintaining media contacts requires constant awareness of the types of media available in an ever changing world. By embracing new technology, publicity needs to be kept fresh and current. "Old school" outlets like newspaper, television and radio now serve a limited market. As IAAP pushes into the future, so must its chapters. For today, it is all about Twitter, Facebook, mobile uploads, and texting.
Since a committee is only as good as the people who run it, the Publicity Committee could not achieve its greatness without the extraordinary talents of Sara-Keys Chapter members such as Donna Chipman, CPS/CAP who is responsible for publishing our monthly newsletter. A testament to her work every month, Donna manages to keep the newsletter fresh and informative while interjecting a warm personal feeling which makes it a must read! Our newest addition, Kathleen Marie Hall, CPS/CAP, has taken the “internet bull” by the horns and is currently remodeling our website to be the envy of all. Visit it often as you will find it updated frequently with all kinds of information about Sara-Keys, IAAP, and its members! Pat Whitesel, CAP and Rick Musior, CAP handle special event announcements and advertising via email, newspapers, websites, radio, and community calendars.
If you are interested in additional information or would like to assist this committee, please contact Publicity Chair Rick Musior, CAP.
